TRAINING SCHEDULE: MANUTENTION FOR HEALTH CARE

Mapping Letter for Health Care Trainer status.

Level 2: 5 day course

Pre-requisite: None required

Health Care Level 2 : 3 days Basic + 2 days Applied

Assessment Process : closed book written test & practical demonstrations during Health Care Level 2 course

Qualification: Certificate of Competency ‘Manutention for Health Care Level 2’

Either

  • Competent Worker / Workplace Handler
  • Competent to coach others / Workplace Coach

Level 3:

Manutention for Aged Care OR Acute Care

Pre-requisite: Certificate ‘Manutention for Health Care Level 2’

Acute Care: Total 8 days

Specific Gestural Training: 4 days (32 hours)

Clinical Applications: 4 days (32 hours)

Aged Care: Total 8 days

Basic: 4 days (32 hours)

Advanced: 4 days (32 hours)

Assessment Process:

  • During course time, practical demonstration
  • After completion of the 8 days Workplace assessment by viewing or video (min 2 hours) + Assignment (session plan development).

Qualification: ‘Certificate of Competency Manutention for Acute Care ’ Workplace Trainer
OR ‘Certificate of Competency Manutention for Aged Care ’ Workplace Trainer

This course will enable the graduate to deliver “Manutention based training “ at only their workplace,

Level 4:

Manutention for Aged Care OR Acute Care

(Refers to those who want to become trainers).

Manutention Trainer for Aged Care

Manutention Trainer for Acute Care Level 4

(Manutention Trainer – Health Care Level 4: includes both streams)

Pre-requisite: Attendance at one other course from a separate stream:

Acute Care: Specific Gestural Training
OR

Aged Care: Basic
OR
Loads: Loads Level 2

200 hours Workplace Practicum
+
ANTA Certificate IV Training and Assessment
+
Credentialing via Co-Training at all accredited courses in chosen stream, i.e. Level 2 and Level 3 * courses (Acute Care or Aged Care Streams)

* Exception made for prospective Level 4 participants who have not had the opportunity to co-train, due to circumstances out of their control.
(Negotiated with each of the individual candidates, with a signed & witnessed contract).

Portfolio of Training attended, certificate numbers, co-training details (see pre Level 4)

Assessment Process: during course time, practical demonstration

Qualification: ‘Manutention Trainer in Acute Care Level 4’ OR ‘Manutention Trainer in Aged Care Level 4’.

Able to train others in accredited Manutention Courses that you personally hold certificates for.

E.g. Healthcare Level 2, Acute Care Stream: Specific Gestural Training and Clinical Applications

Alternatively: Healthcare Level 2, Aged Care Stream: Basic and Advanced

Manutention Trainer Level 4
Re-accreditation

Re-accreditation Process:Every 3 years to maintain Manutention Trainer Status

Evidence in portfolio of ongoing training

Evidence of participation in Professional Development days/courses/ sessions/ activities

Attendance at Level 4 course as either a trainer or a participant/mentor for trainees
OR
Attendance at training courses specified by AAMP as a re accreditation opportunity (Minimum 2 days).
(Primarily those courses run by SIFAM France or trainers returning from France) or

Attendance at SIFAM France courses.

Qualification: Accredited manutention Trainer AAMP Training status stamped and signed off in portfolio.
